1. Who we are

Balance is an enterprise decision intelligence layer for utilities developed by LINEDATA INTELIGÊNCIA ARTIFICIAL LTDA, registered under CNPJ 53.733.688/0001-85, with its registered office at Rodovia SC 401, nº 4150, 4º andar, sala 401, Florianópolis/SC, hereinafter referred to as “Linedata,” “we” or “Controller.”

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store and protect your personal data when you interact with the balance.ia.br website, in compliance with Law No. 13,709/2018 (LGPD, Brazil’s General Data Protection Law).

2. What data we collect

When you fill out the contact form on the website, we collect the following information:

  • Name, for identification and appropriate handling
  • Corporate email, the main channel of communication
  • Company, for business context
  • Industry segment (water and wastewater, energy or other), to direct the response
  • Message, containing the free text information provided by the data subject

During browsing, the server hosting the website records technical access data, such as IP address, date and time, requested page and browser type, for security and operational purposes. The website does not use analytics tools or tracking cookies.

If you contact us via WhatsApp or email, we also receive the data sent through those channels, such as phone number, profile name and the content of the messages, and we process it for the same purposes as the contact form.

3. Purpose of processing

We process your personal data exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Responding to requests for business contact and demonstrations
  • Sending information about the Balance product, subject to consent
  • Maintaining the security and operation of the website
  • Complying with legal and regulatory obligations
  • Exercising rights in judicial or administrative proceedings

4. Legal basis

Your data is processed on the following legal bases provided for in Art. 7 of the LGPD:

  • Consent (Art. 7, I), when you tick the acceptance box on the form
  • Preliminary procedures related to a contract (Art. 7, V), to respond to your request
  • Compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 7, II), where applicable
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 7, IX), for the website’s technical security records, always respecting your rights

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it only with:

  • Processors that provide technical services (hosting and form processing), under contract and subject to confidentiality obligations
  • Public authorities, when required by law, court order or lawful request
  • Companies of the same economic group as Linedata, for purposes compatible with this Policy

Specific processors:

  • Web3Forms, for processing and delivering the messages sent through the contact form
  • The cloud infrastructure provider that hosts the website
  • YouTube (Google LLC), only when you choose to watch an embedded video; the player is loaded in enhanced privacy mode and only after you click
  • WhatsApp (Meta Platforms), when you start a conversation through the WhatsApp button; from then on, the conversation is also subject to WhatsApp’s policies

6. International data transfer

Some of the processors above are based or store data outside Brazil, which constitutes an international transfer of personal data under Arts. 33 to 36 of the LGPD:

  • Web3Forms, which receives the messages from the contact form and forwards them to our email
  • YouTube (Google LLC), based in the United States, when you choose to watch an embedded video
  • WhatsApp (Meta Platforms), when you start a conversation through the WhatsApp button

These transfers take place only to the extent necessary to fulfil the request you yourself initiated, on the basis of Art. 33, IX, of the LGPD, and in compliance with Resolution CD/ANPD No. 19/2024.

7. Storage and security

Data is stored with appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or improper disclosure.

The retention period is defined according to the purpose:

  • Contact form data: 24 months or until the data subject requests deletion
  • Technical access records: for the period necessary for the security of the website and for compliance with legal obligations

8. Your rights as a data subject

Under Art. 18 of the LGPD, you may exercise the following rights at any time:

  • Confirmation of the existence of processing
  • Access to the data
  • Correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data
  • Anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data or data processed in noncompliance
  • Portability to another provider
  • Deletion of data processed on the basis of consent
  • Information about the entities with which we share your data
  • Withdrawal of consent
  • Objection to processing carried out on grounds that waive consent
  • Review of decisions made solely on the basis of automated processing

The website does not use its own cookies. For details on third party technologies, please see our Cookie Policy.

10. Changes

This Policy may be updated periodically. We recommend reviewing it regularly. The date of the last update will always appear at the top of this document. This Policy is also published in Portuguese and Spanish; in the event of any discrepancy, the Portuguese version prevails.
