About Us

Intelligence built by people who have lived utility operations.

Balance grew out of years spent inside the water and wastewater sector, delivering data engineering and geospatial intelligence on real operations. That experience, matured as we moved from a project practice to a scalable product, gave rise to the platform, built in Florianópolis and designed for water, wastewater and energy utilities.

The company

We chose this industry deliberately, because of the size of the problem.

Balance was born from a simple and uncomfortable conviction: the most critical sector of Brazilian infrastructure was operating without intelligence about its own data. This is a sector that has invested decades in systems of record, that carries contractual targets with legal consequences, and that still makes decisions without integrating what it already has. That gap is exactly where Balance sits.

The platform is built in Florianópolis, one of the most important technology hubs in Brazil, where the depth of people who have run the industry meets the engineering of people who build products.

The intersection

Industry depth and technology excellence at the same table.

A generic model can read any data. Only someone who has run a utility knows what that number means.

That is the difference behind Balance. The context that turns data into decisions comes from people who have lived the process rather than from the model. The agents carry the experience of engineers and specialists who spent years inside real water and wastewater operations and geospatial intelligence, translated into rules, criteria and alignment with the industry's technical references, such as IWA, SINISA and Brazil's Sanitation Legal Framework for water, and PRODIST and ANEEL, the national electricity regulator, for energy.

What backs the thesis

The team's conviction, confirmed from the outside.

The Balance thesis underwent an independent technical review by Instituto Stela, affiliated with UFSC, which recognized in the platform a combination of capabilities that no vendor on the market brings together today: integration of operations and billing in real time, intelligence across every level of management, compliance with Brazilian regulation and a base that is auditable end to end.

Our relationship with the major systems vendors is complementary. Balance runs on top of the SCADA, GIS, ERP and engineering platforms the utility already uses, and fills the decision layer above them, which had no occupant until now.
